Ideas & Tips for Creative Food Menu Illustration

Hey everyone!

I’ve been working on designing a new menu for my café, and I’m really interested in adding some unique food menu illustrations instead of using only photos. I think illustrated menus can make a big difference — they feel more artistic and help show off the vibe of the place.

I’d love to hear your thoughts:

• Do you prefer hand-drawn, watercolor-style illustrations or more modern vector art?
  
  Should I illustrate the actual dishes or go for decorative elements like herbs, utensils, or chef characters?
  
  Does anyone have recommendations for freelance illustrators or design studios who specialize in menu artwork?
  
  And if you’ve used illustrated menus before, did you notice any impact on your customers?
